Donut You Know

Donut You Know You're the Best card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
Here's my card for this week's challenge at Global Design Project.  I paired the sketch with the donut image from Lawn Fawn's Sweet Friends stamp set for this sweet design.

I used some Copic markers to color up a trio of donuts, then cut out the colored images with the matching die.  They were attached to a kraft panel using foam tape for dimension.  I mixed and matched pieces from a bunch of the set's sentiments to get the "donut you know you're the best" sentiment that I stamped in the bottom right quadrant of the panel in white ink.  The text was heat embossed in white to pop against the kraft background.

After matting the image panel on a piece of rose cardstock, I adhered a strip of pale pink cardstock across the panel just beneath the images.  I wrapped the pink strip with some twine and secured it with a bow, then adhered it to a pale pink card base covered with pink gingham patterned paper.  The gingham seemed like a perfect match for the donut images.

Materials Used:
Sweet Friends stamp set, Sweet Friends dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress and Memento Tuxedo Black inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Sweet Blush and Kraft cardstock, Sweet Blush patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Regal Rose cardstock (Stampin' Up!); cream twine (Hemptique); Snow embossing powder (Recollections); foam tape
