At the beginning of the school year, I like to send cards to my teacher friends through our district's interoffice mail system to wish them a great school year. The "apple" code word from
the current Addicted to CAS challenge was the perfect prompt to inspire one of these cards for a friend!

My apples were die cut from cardstock scraps using the Apple Shaker dies from
Lil' Inker Designs. I assembled the die cut pieces, then used foam tape to adhere them to a gray cardstock panel. I stamped the "teacher" and "you're awesome" sentiments from LID's Teacher Talk stamp set beneath the apples in white pigment ink, then heat embossed the words for a chalkboard style look. After brushing the panel's edges with more white pigment ink for a chalky look, I adhered the panel to a coordinating green card base.
Materials Used:
Teacher Talk stamp set, Apple Shaker dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Simply Chartreuse and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Steel Grey and Sour Apple cardstock (My Favorite Things); Snow embossing powder (Recollections); foam tape
