You're A-maize-ing

You're A-maize-ing card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnThe current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is based on a fall mood board.  I took my inspiration from the fall images, color schemes, and the hills and valleys in one particular photo for this design.

The Happy Harvest set is one of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets. I just love the set's scarecrow image!  I colored it up along with a pair of pumpkins, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored images.  I set aside the cut images while I made a background.  I inked a panel with a bunch of blue distress inks, then sprinkled some water on it and blotted the droplets for a mottled look.  The hills were made with stitched dies and olive cardstock.  The pieces were layered on the bottom of the inked panel, then I added the images on top, using foam tape for dimension.  The set's "you're a-maize-ing" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel in black ink.  I adhered the finished panel to a kraft card base to give it a warm, fall-like feel.

Materials Used:
Happy Harvest stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Clair Nocturne inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Tumbled Glass distress inks (Ranger); markers (Copic); Old Olive cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Landscape Trio dies (Mama Elephant); foam tape
