Keeping Christmas: September 2018

It's time for the September installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team!  For this month, I created a sweet scene featuring stamps from Lawn Fawn.

Wishing You a Magical Holiday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I made a star-filled night sky background with a large yellow moon with the help of a circle mask and some distress inks.  After filling in the moon and sky, I dribbled water on the panel and blotted it off to get the star-like look.  A pair of stitched edge green die cut hills were adhered to the bottom.  I topped the hill with the pair of snuggly bears from Lawn Fawn's Winter Skies stamp set.  To fill in the scene, Santa and his reindeer-drawn sleigh were stamped in front of the moon.  To go with the images, I stamped the "wishing you a magical holiday" sentiment directly on the panel.  The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base.

Don't miss what the rest of our team has created to inspire you to get a head start on your holiday card making!  There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Here's where to find the team members:

Materials Used:
Winter Skies stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Clair Nocturne inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Broken China, Stormy Sky, and Faded Jeans distress inks (Ranger); markers (Copic); Garden Green and Not Quite Navy cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Landscape Trio dies (Mama Elephant); foam tape
