Stand Tall

Stand Tall card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
The theme for this month's Paper Smooches challenge is clean and simple--right up my alley!  My clean and simple design features the coordinating Paper Smooches Pineapple Crush and Pineapple Crush 2 stamp sets.  I colored up a pineapple from the Pineapple Crush set as my focal image, die cutting it with the coordinating Pineapple Crush Icons die.  To make a background for the image, I did some ink smooshing on a watercolor paper panel using a distress oxide ink and water.

Once the ink dried, I twisted and looped a length of gold thread and secured it to the panel before adding the image on top with foam tape.  The "stand tall" sentiment from the Pineapple Crush 2 set was stamped in gold ink on a golden yellow cardstock strip, then heat embossed in gold. I used foam tape to adhere the text to the panel above the pineapple image. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating green card base.

Materials Used:
Pineapple Crush and Pineapple Crush 2 stamp sets, Pineapple Crush Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black and Delicata Golden Glitz inks (Tsukinenko/IMAGINE Crafts); Picket Fence distress oxide (Ranger); markers (Copic); Harvest Gold and Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Wow Gold embossing powder (American Crafts); gold thread; foam tape
