Color Throwdown 515-You Are Too Kind

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Jodi is our hostess this week with a tablescape-inspired rustic color combination--kraft, green, and white.

You Are Too Kind card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
This earthy color scheme called for some nature-themed images, so I used Reverse Confetti's Fall Foliage stamp set to stamp up a pair of leaves on kraft cardstock. After cutting out the leaves with my Scan 'n Cut (first time I've tried it with images stamped on kraft--worked great!), I added a little depth to the color with some Tea Dye distress ink.  To make a background for the leaves, I used RC's Lotsa Dots stencil and white pigment ink to create a subtle dotted pattern on the bottom of a green cardstock panel.  I adhered the leaves to the panel with foam tape, then accented them with a trio of white matte enamel dots.  I die cut a banner strip using a die from the Tag Me die set, then stamped "you are too kind" from the Simply Sentiments set on the strip in white pigment ink.  The text was heat embossed to stand out against the kraft.  After wrapping the end of the strip in gold thread, I adhered it to the top left side of the green panel. The finished panel was adhered to a kraft card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD515.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd515 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and October's Guest Designer, Birgit Edblom.
