Color Throwdown 517-You're A-maize-ing

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  It's my turn to be the hostess this week and I've picked a color palette inspired by a fun book themed bag I found when I was searching for a new tote to carry my things for work--red, kraft, aqua, and orange.

I paired the colors with the current challenge at Sunday Stamps and the adorable scarecrow from Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest stamp set.  I colored the scarecrow with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored image.  For the background, I adhered an aqua plaid patterned paper panel to a coordinating aqua card base, angling it just a bit.  I added an orange cardstock strip on top, also angled, but in the opposite direction.  The kraft stitched square frame was placed on top, using foam tape for dimension.  I arranged the scarecrow image inside the frame using more foam tape. The set's "you're a-maize-ing" sentiment was stamped at the top of the orange strip.  I added a trio of aqua enamel dots in and around the frame as an accent to finish the card.
