Give Thanks

The theme for this month's Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge is Thanksgiving and friendship.  I tried my hand at a little watercoloring for this Thanksgiving themed card.

Give Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti
I stamped a trio of leaves using the Fall Foliage stamp set in black ink on watercolor paper, masking the leaves to give them the look of overlapping each other.  After adding a little color to each leaf with a Zig Clean Color marker, I used a water brush to spread the color around.  The color didn't blend as nicely as I would have liked, but it will do...

The thankfulness themed sentiment from the Forever Fall set was stamped to the right of the leaf trio.  To complete the visual triangle on the card, I added a wide orange fishtail flag strip, made from the bottom of the small tag found in the Tag Me die set, to the top of the panel. The tag was wrapped with a length of gold thread for a pretty sparkle.  I adhered the panel to a coordinating drab green card base to finish the card.

Materials Used:
Fall Foliage and Forever Fall stamp sets, Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Clean Color markers (Zig); Orange Fizz and Factory Green cardstock (My Favorite Things); gold thread (Michaels)
