Great Minds Drink Alike

This month's Paper Smooches challenge is a fun sketch.  I used the sketch to create a wine themed design that's perfect for sending to a friend.

I used PS's Wine dies to cut a pair of wine glasses from vellum, then colored the back of the die cut pieces with a Copic marker to give them the appearance of being filled with a rich red wine.  The glasses were adhered to a cream panel with a vellum-friendly adhesive.  I stamped the "great minds drink alike" sentiment from the Wine Sampler set beneath the glasses.  After matting the panel on gold paper, I adhered it to a dotted patterned paper panel over a strip of burgundy cardstock.  The burgundy strip was dressed up with a strip of gold paper and some gold thread secured with a simple bow.  To bring in more of the gold, I arranged a trio of gold sequins around the wine glasses to finish the design.
