It's time for the October installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team! For this month, I kept things simple with a little heat embossing and some festive distress inks.
My simple design features a classic sentiment from Avery Elle's Sending Peace stamp set. I heat embossed the words "wishing you joy this holiday season" in white on a watercolor panel, then pressed the embossed panel into some watered-down red distress inks on a large clear acrylic block. When the ink dried, I buffed the ink off of the text to reveal the words. For a festive sparkle and shine, I brushed a gold ink pad along the panel's edges. It's so pretty IRL! Even though I don't usually mix metallics, I did here, accenting the text with a bunch of different sized silver sequins. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating red card base.
