Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
It's almost the end of holiday card season, so before it ends, I'm sharing one more holiday themed design.  This one is inspired by the holiday challenge from The Paper Craft Crew.

The focal point is a large sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Bring on the Merry set.  The text was stamped in purple ink to coordinate with the cool tones of the plaid patterned paper I used to cover most of the pale blue card base.  I matted the sentiment on silver cardstock, then adhered it to the plaid panel.  One half of a light blue banner strip, cut with a die from RC's Tag Me die set, was tucked beneath the top and bottom of the panel.  I positioned the pieces to look like a continuous strip, even though it's really one strip cut in half.  The text was accented with a trio of snowflakes cut from white glitter cardstock.  I may go back and add a clear crystal to the center of each flake...

Materials Used:
Bring on the Merry stamp set, Grape Jelly ink, Mist cardstock, Warm Heart 6x6 paper pad, Tag Me and Let It Snow dies (Reverse Confetti); Silver and White Glitter cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
