Miss You

I Miss You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
Here's my card for the final My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge for 2018.  It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with the sketch, but once I had an idea in mind, this card came together quickly.

I used the sketch to make a nighttime scene as seen through a window pane.  My pane is made from a silver stitched rectangle that I cut using a die from the Blueprints 24 set.  I used a smaller rectangle die to cut out the 4 panes.  The scene showing through the window was built on a panel inked with distress inks.  I masked the round moon, then filled it in with yellow ink after inking the rest of the panel with blue inks and splashing on some water to make "stars" in the sky.  The layered skyline die cuts were positioned at the bottom of the panel, then the window frame was added on top.  I stamped the "I miss you" sentiment from the Birdie Brown Greetings Galore set directly on the panel, just above the skyline die cut. The finished panel was matted on black cardstock, then adhered to a blue card base.

Materials Used:
Birdie Brown Greetings Galore stamp set, Solid Skyline, Skyline Border, and Blueprints 24 dies (My Favorite Things); Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, and Mustard Seed distress inks (Ranger); Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Brocade Blue and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut);Silver cardstock (Recollections); Rectangle dies (Spellbinders); circle punch (EK Success)
