Lovebug

Lovebug card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I just can't resist the adorable bee images from Paper Smooches!  I inked the one from the Giddy Bugs set up for a card for the current Paper Craft Crew challenge.

The set's bee image was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating Giddy Bugs Icons die, then adhered to a light blue oval using foam tape for dimension.  I matted the oval on yellow cardstock to match the bee, then adhered the layered ovals to a light blue card base.  After tucking a darker blue fishtail flag strip underneath the sides of the layered oval, I arranged a pair of red stitched heart die cuts at the left side of the image panel.  The set's "lovebug" sentiment was stamped on yellow cardstock, then layered over the hearts.  I accented the text with a tiny yellow twine bow.  A trio of white enamel dots arranged around the image panel and sentiment completed the design.  The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base to match the fishtail flag strip beneath the image panel.

Materials Used:
Giddy Bugs stamp set, Giddy Bugs Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); clear Sparkle glitter brush pen (Spectrum Noir); Soft Sky, Real Red, and Blue Bayou cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Lemon Drop cardstock, Essential Fishtail Flag Sentiment Strips dies (My Favorite Things); oval dies (Spellbinders); stitched heart dies (Lil' Inker Designs); white matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
