So Many Candles

So Many Candles card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti
Here's my card for the current challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  I used the sketch to create a simple birthday card.  You can never have too many of these in your stash of cards!

I paired a candle themed birthday sentiment from Reverse Confetti with some candle patterned paper from Echo Park to put the card together quickly.  I cut a piece of the candle patterned paper and matted it on pink cardstock before adhering it to the top of a yellow card base.  The "so many candles so little cake" sentiment from RC's Birthday Wishes set was stamped in pink ink on a narrow yellow oval that matches the card base.  Before adhering the oval to the cardfront with foam tape, I positioned a cut banner strip and a loopy length of silver thread at the top of the card to make a fun and festive accent for the sentiment.

Materials Used:
Birthday Wishes stamp set, Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Bubblegum ink (My Favorite Things); Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Birthday Wishes 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); petite oval dies (Spellbinders); silver thread; foam tape
