You Make My Heart Spin

The current Lawn Fawnatics "Wonderful Winter" themed challenge features a soft winter inspired color palette.  I used the colors and the photo inspiration as the basis for this sweet design using Lawn Fawn's Beary Happy Holidays stamp set.

I colored up one of the set's skating bears, adding pink to the bear's scarf and just a bit of shading to the bear's fur, then used the coordinating die to cut out the colored image.  For the background, I created a sun and cloud filled sky with the help of distress ink, stencils, and a small sticky note circle mask.  I made an icy pond for the bear to skate on from a piece of shimmery white paper cut with one of the dies from the Stitched Trails set.  After adhering the "ice" to the bottom of the inked panel, I added the bear on top using foam tape for dimension.  I curved the set's "you make my heart spin" sentiment to match the edge of the white panel, then stamped the text in blue ink.  The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating blue card base.
