You're the Apple of My Eye

You're the Apple of my Eye card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
One of my coworkers requested some cards to give to her son's teachers for Valentine's Day.  I think this one based on the current challenge at The Paper Players will be perfect!

I replaced the round panel in the layout with a die cut apple made with the large die from the Lil' Inker Designs Apple Shaker dies.  The apple was adhered to the right side of a cream cardstock panel.  I die cut the word "teacher" from kraft cardstock using a die from the Teacher Talk set and placed it on top of the apple.  To finish the sentiment, I stamped "you're the apple of my eye" from the coordinating Teacher Talk stamp set on a narrow strip of kraft cardstock and used foam tape to adhere it beneath the die cut word.  The finished panel was layered on to a red panel that matches the die cut apple.  This was so easy to put together that I might just make a few more of these...

Materials Used:
Teacher Talk stamp set, Teacher Talk and Apple Shaker dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukinenko/IMAGINE Crafts); Riding Hood Red and Old Olive cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
