A Bright Spot

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo (rainbow color scheme and sparkles) to create this fun design.

Bright Spot card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
My rainbow was created with Concord & 9th's Rainbow Wishes stamp set.  Each of the solid bands was inked in a different color, then stamped on a white panel.  I matted the panel on yellow cardstock, then adhered it to the top of an aqua card base over a strip of shimmery silver cardstock.  I die cut a cloud from shimmery white paper using the coordinating Rainbow Wishes dies and stamped parf of the sentiment directly on the die cut before adhering it to the cardfront with foam tape.  The rest of the sentiment was stamped directly on the image panel, overlapping the rainbow bands, to finish the design.  I may go back and add in a few sequins or glitter enamel dots for a bit more sparkle...

Materials Used:
Rainbow Wishes stamp set, Rainbow Wishes dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Tuxedo Black, Lady Bug, Daffodil, Bahama Blue, Tangelo, and Pear Tart inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Hawaiian Shores and Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
