Hello Sunshine

The theme for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is "what's the weather?"  With all of the wintery weather we've had recently, I decided to channel some springtime with my sun-filled design.

Hello Sunshine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
I went way back into my Lawn Fawn collection, turning to the Hello Sunshine stamp set and coordinating Spring Showers die.  I cut a cheery sun from yellow cardstock and a trio of stitched clouds from shimmery white cardstock.  The die cuts were arranged on a stenciled background full of soft, fluffy clouds created with distress oxides.  A trio of sequins arranged around and beneath the die cuts add a bit of sparkle to the mini scene.

For the sentiment, I used the Scripty Hello die to cut the word "hello" from both aqua cardstock and craft foam.  After layering the two pieces for dimension, I adhered them to the stenciled panel beneath the die cut pieces.  The "sunshine" from the Hello Sunshine stamp set was stamped just beneath the die cut word in coordinating aqua ink.  The finished panel was adhered to an aqua card base that matches the die cut word.

Materials Used:
Hello Sunshine stamp set, Spring Showers and Scripty Hello dies (Lawn Fawn); Cookie Monster ink (Taylored Expressions); Faded Jeans and Broken China distress oxides (Ranger); Hawaiian Shores and Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Crystal Stardust cardstock (The Paper Cut); stencil (My Favorite Things); silver sequins; foam tape
