Finding Inspiration in Finding Nemo

The theme for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is inspired by a book, movie, or song.  I went with the classic animated film Finding Nemo as my inspiration, using one of the fish from Lawn Fawn's Fintastic Friends set for an underwater scene.

I Am Lost Without You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnI started out by inking a watercolor paper panel with some watered down distress inks.  While the inked panel dried, I colored up the images from the stamp set with Copic markers and cut them out.  After adding some torn kraft cardstock "sand" to the bottom of the watercolor panel, I arranged the images on the panel, leaving room for the sentiment.  The panel was adhered to a bright aqua card base with an orange striped patterned paper panel along the bottom half.  I cut a trio of stitched circles from coordinating cardstock colors and tucked them underneath the image panel before adding the sentiment strip on top.  The sentiment was created using a combination of sentiments from the Loads of Fun stamp.  I accented the strip with a trio of clear confetti circles, then added a few more confetti water bubbles for good measure to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Fintastic Friends and Loads of Fun stamp sets, Fintastic Friends dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks (Ranger); markers (Copic); Hawaiian Shore, Aqua Mist, and Kraft cardstock, Orange Zest patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Orange Fizz cardstock (My Favorite Things); stitched circle dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Sparkling Clear confetti mix (Pretty Pink Posh); foam tape
