Wild Greenery
Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I used an inlaid die cutting technique to represent the layout's trio of round elements.
My trio of elements is a set of leaves created with the Wild Greenery dies. I cut the leaf shapes from a kraft cardstock panel, then filled in the negative space with matching green die cuts. The kraft panel was adhered to a dark brown cardstock panel, then layered on to a kraft card base. The "thinking of you" sentiment from the Pretty Poppies set was stamped near the center of the card in brown ink to match the mat beneath the kraft panel. The delicate script of the sentiment keeps the focus on the inlaid elements on this easy to mail card.
Materials Used:
Pretty Poppies stamp set, Wild Greenery dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Simply Chartreuse and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
