You Rock

Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  I used the sketch to make a simple but versatile card--I think it would fit lots of occasions!

You Rock card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I covered most of a white card base with an aqua on aqua star patterned paper from a long discontinued paper line.  For contrast, I used a large stitched rectangle die to cut a light aqua cardstock panel.  I adhered the panel to the upper right side of the cardfront on an angle, then trimmed the edges even with the card base.  The "you rock" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Seriously Awesome stamp set was stamped on the panel in a darker aqua ink.  I die cut a stitched star from silver cardstock and used foam tape to adhere it to the edge of the stitched rectangle.  For a final bit of sparkle, I accented the star with a trio of silver glitter enamel dots.

Materials Used:
Seriously Awesome stamp set, Stitched Stars and Stitched Rectangles dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Cookie Monster ink (Taylored Expressions); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Happy Day-Cake Walk designer paper (SEI); silver glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
