Rain or Shine

The current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is a great sketch.  I used the layout and Lawn Fawn's Rain or Shine Before 'n Afters set for this cheery design.

Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I colored up the rainbow image with Copic markers, then carefully cut it out by hand.  To add some interest to the image, I coated the clouds with a bit of clear glitter from a glitter brush pen and did a bit of paper piecing on the center of the sun image.  Once I'd finished with the details, I used foam tape to adhere the image to a light blue circle.  The circle was matted on red cardstock, then positioned at the top of a yellow card base over a trio of angled strips.  The two plain blue cardstock strips match the round panel behind the image and bookend a fun heart patterned washi tape strip.  I stamped the set's "I love you rain or shine" sentiment on two super narrow red cardstock strips, then used foam tape to adhere them to the cardfront, overlapping both the image panel and the angled strips.  A trio of red enamel hearts positioned to the right of the image panel finished off the design.

Materials Used:
Rain or Shine Before 'n Afters stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); clear Sparkle glitter brush pen (Spectrum Noir); Real Red and Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle dies (Spellbinders); heart washi tape, red enamel hearts (Recollections); foam tape
