A Big Slice of Happiness

A Big Slice of Happiness card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
The theme for the current My Favorite Things Birthday Project challenge is candles.  I went back in the stamp archives and inked up an older Pure Innocence stamp, Birthday Princess, for the challenge.  I colored some of the image with Copic markers, then did a bit of paper piecing on her dress and crown for a change.  The image was cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine, then adhered to a mint pierced rectangle die cut using foam tape.  I stamped the cake themed birthday sentiment from the Big Birthday Sentiments to the right of the image in blue ink.  With a big sentiment like that, the panel didn't really need anything more!  I layered it on to a golden yellow card base over a wide gold cardstock strip edged with an narrow strip of contrasting red cardstock.

Materials Used:
Birthday Princess and Big Birthday Sentiments stamp sets, Pierced Rectangle STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Sprinkles ink (Taylored Expressions); markers (Copic); Mint Julep cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Barely Banana and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); patterned paper (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
