Elegant Anniversary
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch. I created a classic, elegant anniversary card using a large crystal flourish that's been in my collection for a long time (probably too long!) and stamps from Papertrey Ink.
The flourish was arranged on a piece of shimmery white cardstock, Knowing that part of the panel would be covered by the sentiment, I did a little trimming to get a little more mileage out of the flourish. For the sentiment, I stamped the anniversary sentiment from the Propose a Toast set in silver ink on a narrow shimmery white oval. Since inks take forever to dry on this cardstock, I heat embossed the text in silver before matting the panel on a slightly larger gray scalloped oval. The oval was adhered over the flourish using foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a gray card base that matches the mat for the sentiment panel.
Materials Used:
Propose a Toast stamp set, Weathervane cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Crystal Stardream cardstock (The Paper Cut); petite oval and petite scalloped oval dies (Spellbinders); silver embossing powder (Hero Arts); crystal flourish (Want2Scrap); foam tape
