You Made My Day a Little Bit Brighter

You Made My Day a Little Bit Brighter card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  I used the sketch to create a colorful design with a rainbow as the focal image.

The rainbow is fashioned from four half-circle bands cut with stitched circle dies. The stitching adds a fun detail to the otherwise simple shapes.  I arranged the bands of color on an aqua card base over a piece of aqua paper with a grid pattern.  I edged the patterned paper with a contrasting narrow strip of red cardstock to set it off from the cardfront.  A die cut shimmery white cloud accent was positioned at one end of the rainbow. I stamped the thank you sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Rainbow and Cloud Sentiments stamp set just beneath the cloud in black ink to complete the easy to mail design.

Materials Use:
Rainbow and Cloud Sentiments stamp set, Stitched Circle and Cut It Out Clouds and Accessories dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock, Aqua Screen patterned paper (Recollections); Yoyo Yellow, Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape

  3. I love rainbows but don't see too many of them around here. Lots of rain but no sun. Thank you for joining us for the CC&S challenge.
