Swinging By
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used the focal panel for a simple scene featuring one of the monkeys from Lawn Fawn's Love Ya Bunches stamp set.
I colored up the monkey and vine images with Copic markers, then cut them out with the matching dies. For the background, I used a cloud stencil and a blue distress oxide to crate a cloud-filled panel. The vines were positioned at the top of the panel. I added the monkey to one of the vines, angling the image to make it look like it was swinging from the vine. The panel was matted on coordinating blue cardstock before it was adhered to a green card base. For the sentiment, I stamped the set's "swinging by to say" sentiment on a narrow blue strip and trimmed it into two pieces. The "hello" on the third piece is from the Critter Chatter: Pets set--love how lots of LF's sentiments can be mixed and matched between sets! I used foam tape to adhere the trio of strips to the top left side of the panel to finish the card.
Materials Used:
Love Ya Bunches and Critter Chatter: Pets stamp sets, Love Ya Bunches dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Clair Nocturne inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Broken China distress oxide (Ranger); markers (Copic); Simply Chartreuse and Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Mini Cloud Edges stencil (My Favorite Things); foam tape
