Happy Bee-Day
Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I used the beehive and a pair of bees from the Meant to Bee set to represent the layout's trio of round elements. The images were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching dies. I used foam tape to adhere the hive directly to a light blue cardstock panel. Instead of adhering the pair of bees directly to the blue panel, I used dies to cut out two hexagon shapes from the panel. After layering the blue panel on to a yellow card base, I added the bees on top using foam tape for dimension. The shapes add a pop of color and a little interest to the design. The set's "happy bee-day" sentiment was stamped on a narrow kraft strip that I positioned near the bottom of the cardfront, threading it underneath the raised beehive image.
