Yay! It's Your Birthday!

Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  I used the layout for a fun birthday card featuring one of the adorable pandas from Mama Elephant's Pandamonium stamp set.

I stamped the panda in my favorite dark black ink, Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, then used the matching die to cut out the stamped image.  It was adhered to a light blue cardstock panel using foam tape for dimension.  Before positioning the panda image, I stamped the balloon string image directly on the panel.  The balloon was stamped on red cardstock, cut out, then adhered to the top of the string with more foam tape.  I matted the panel on red cardstock, then adhered it to a festive multicolor striped patterned paper panel covering most of a red card base.  The birthday themed sentiment from the Birthday Messages set was stamped on a narrow strip of red cardstock, then adhered to the cardfront, overlapping the left side of the image panel.
