Adulting Is Hard

Because Adulting Is Hard card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs
Here's my card for the current (for a few more hours!) sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  It's the first week of school here and we're rolling out new literacy and math curricula, so some coffee is in order!  The to go cup I used here is from SugarPea Designs.  I cut the cup from scraps of cardstock and assembled it on a kraft stitched circle, using foam tape for dimension.  Since it's almost fall, I found a patterned paper with stripes in rich, earthy colors to use as a background for the panel.  I adhered the striped panel to a yellow card base, then added the circle on top, trimming the left side so it was flush with the edge of the cardfront.  For the sentiment, I stamped the "because adulting is hard" sentiment from SPD's The Perfect Bland stamp set on a cream panel in dark brown ink.  I matted the sentiment on a dark brown circle and added it to the cardfront, tucking the top under the raised to go cup.

Materials Used:
The Perfect Blend stamp set, Coffee To Go Cup dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Espresso Royale ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Crushed Curry and Early Espresso cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Joy Ride 6x6 paper pad (Cosmo Cricket); circle dies (Spellbinders); Stitched Circle dies (Lil' Inker Designs); foam tape
