Sending Warm Wishes

Here's my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge.  I used the sketch to create a holiday card with a warm and cozy feel.

Sending Warm Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
The focal image is the mug from Lawn Fawn's Thanks a Latte stamp set.  I did a bit of masking to add the scarf to the mug before coloring the image with Copic markers.  After carefully cutting out the colored image, I used foam tape to adhere it to the bottom of a kraft cardstock panel. The set's steam image was stamped just above the mug in kraft colored ink for a subtle look.  The "sending warm wishes for a happy holiday season" sentiment from the Merry Messages stamp set was stamped across the top of the panel in red ink.  The kraft panel was matted on coordinating red cardstock.  To add some texture to the card, I attached a bit of red pom pom trim to the bottom edge of the panel to the left of the mug before adhering the panel to the top of a red knit patterned paper from LF's Snow Day Remix collection.

Materials Used:
Thanks a Latte and Merry Messages stamp sets, Snow Day Remix 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black, Lady Bug, and Toffee Crunch inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); red pom pom trim; foam tape
