Warm Winter Wishes

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I stretched the square layout to a standard A2 size for this warm, wintery design.

Warm Winter Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I built the card on a light blue card base. For texture, I added a navy panel embossed with a cable knit pattern and edged with a narrow strip of silver cardstock.  Once the embossed piece was in place, I added the die cut silver snowflake on top. For extra sparkle, I dotted the center of the flake with a self-adhesive clear crystal and scattered silver sequins around the flake.  The "warm winter wishes" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Seasonal Sentiments stamp set was stamped at the top of the cardfront in navy ink to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Seasonal Sentiments stamp set, Navy cardstock, Let It Snow dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Nautical Blue ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Cable Knit embossing folder (Sunny Studio); clear self-adhesive crystal; silver sequins; foam tape

  1. Super pretty, Lori! I love that thin strip of silver cs. It's amazing what such a small amount of contrasting paper can do. Thanks so much for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
