It's a Wonderful Life

It's a Wonderful Life card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current Paper Craft Crew challenge.  I created a wintery scene using one of the penguin images from Hello Bluebird's Frosty Friends stamp set.  The penguin was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  I stamped the set's ice image on shimmery white cardstock and added a little shading to it with my markers before cutting it out.  The pieces were adhered to a light blue cardstock square using foam tape for dimension.  After matting the panel on contrasting red cardstock, I adhered it to a blue card base with a wide strip of wintery patterned paper along the bottom.  The "it's  wonderful life" sentiment from the Typed Christmas stamp set was stamped on a very narrow red fishtail flag strip and positioned over a portion of the image panel.  I tucked a pair of silver snowflakes underneath the left side of the image panel as an accent, then added a trio of silver sequins above the top left corner of the image panel to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Frosty Friends and Typed Christmas stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Red Punch and Silver cardstock (Recollections); Wintertime-Snow designer paper (Echo Park); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Snowflake Trio dies (Reverse Confetti); silver sequins; foam tape
