With Sympathy
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I used the sketch to create a simple sympathy card with stamps from Papertrey Ink. The large leafy branch image from Turning a New Leaf was stamped in green ink on the right side of a pale green cardstock panel. I added a pair of pink flowers from the Everyday Classics set to the branch using pink ink. The center of each flower was dotted with a small matching pink self-adhesive pearl to give the image a little dimension.
For the sentiment, I stamped "with sympathy" from the Keep it Simple: Sympathy stamp set on a narrow strip of the same pale green cardstock that I stamped the leafy branch on. After matting the sentiment on darker green cardstock, I positioned the text over the stamped panel. The finished panel was adhered to a green card base that matches the mat underneath the sentiment panel.
Materials Used:
Turning a New Leaf, Everyday Classics, and Keep it Simple: Sympathy stamp sets, Ripe Avocado and Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Mossy ink (The Stamp Market); Bubblegum ink (My Favorite Things); pink self adhesive pearls
