Warm Winter Wishes
Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. My version is a winter themed take using MFT's Winter Warmth stamps and dies. For the layout's four small elements, I die cut two pairs of mittens from red cardstock. I stamped the stitching pattern on the die cut pieces in white pigment ink, then heat embossed the stamped images so they'd pop against the red background. After connecting the mitten pairs with a length of red baker's twine, I used foam tape to adhere them to a plaid patterned paper panel. I mixed and matched pieces from two sentiment stamps from the Snow Globe Sentiments set to get the "warm winter wishes" sentiment. It was stamped in white pigment ink on a gray panel, then positioned between the bottom pair of mittens using more foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating gray card base.
