Hippo Bird-Day
The theme for the current My Favorite Things Birthday Project challenge is clean and simple--which is right up my alley! I used the Happy Hippos set to put together this simple and sweet birthday themed design. I colored up the hippo, birdie, and balloon trio with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored images. They were arranged on the left side of a Sno Cone cardfront using foam tape for dimension. To ground the images, I tucked a strip of green cardstock that I'd cut with a grass border punch beneath them. The set's "wishing you a hippo bird-day" sentiment was stamped above and to the right of the clustered images to complete the design.
Materials Used:
Happy Hippos stamp set, Sno Cone cardstock (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Grass border punch (Fiskars); foam tape
