Quill You Be My Valentine

The theme for the current Paper Smooches challenge is love.  I pulled out my Paper Smooches Love Struck stamp set for this one.  I made the set's baby cupid my focal image, coloring most of the image with Copic markers and paper piecing the baby's diaper with a scrap of polka dotted paper from my scrap pile.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I dusted the wings with a bit of glitter from a glitter brush pen for a subtle shimmer.  The colored image was die cut with the matching die, then adhered to a watercolor washed paper panel using foam tape.  To fill in the scene, I tucked a pair of cloud outlines cut from shimmery white cardstock with PS's Curly Clouds dies behind the raised image.  I used one of my favorite PS dies, Tiny Hearts, to cut a trio of hearts from red cardstock.  The hearts were arranged around the image as an accent.  I stamped the punny "quill you be my Valentine" sentiment to the right of the image in black ink. The panel was adhered to a coordinating blue card base to finish the design.
