I'm Thinking of You
Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge. I paired the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo, including the color scheme, remembrance theme, and poppy images, to put together this design.
My poppy images are from Verve Stamps. I stamped the trio of poppies from the Poppy Birthday set on red cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating Build a Poppy dies. The flowers were arranged on a white circle using foam tape behind the two largest blooms for dimension. For contrast to all of the bold red, I tucked in a pair of green leaves. The panel was matted on black cardstock, then adhered to a red cardstock panel over a narrow black cardstock strip. The "I'm thinking of you" sentiment from the Take Note stamp set was stamped on the right side of the black strip in white pigment ink and heat embossed in white so it would really pop against the black. The finished panel was adhered to a black card base. The black frames the vivid red so nicely and ties all the elements together.
Materials Used:
Poppy Birthday and Take Note stamp sets, Build a Poppy dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress and Versafine Clair Nocturne inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Poppy Parade and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle dies (Spellbinders); Snow embossing powder (Recollections); foam tape
