Color Throwdown 591-It's a Good Day
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week with a great mix of colors--plum, pink, peach, and white.
The layout for my floral themed design is based on one of the current Mojo Monday sketches. I used Reverse Confetti's Bold Blooms stamp set to create a bunch of flowers and leaves in the challenge color scheme. After playing around with the arrangement a bit, I settled on what you see here at the top right edge of the peach cardstock panel. I stamped the "it's a good day for a good day" sentiment from RC's Sentimental Sayings set in black ink at the bottom of the panel. The sentiment panel was matted on pink cardstock and placed over a peach panel with two peach floral patterned paper pieces on it. The pink strip in the middle of the panel hides the gap between the two patterned pieces. I adhered the matted patterned panel to a plummy purple card base to complete the design.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD591. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd591 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our April Guestie Judy Rozema, and this week's Guest Star Stamper Valérie Dürig .
