Way To Go
The theme for this month's Stock Your Stash challenge at Reverse Confetti is moms, dads, and grads. I went with graduation theme for this card that uses a layout based on the current TGIF challenge.
I represented the layout's multiple circular panels with a variety of silver stars cut with dies from RC's Congratulations and Seeing Stars die sets. The stars were arranged on a navy blue cardstock panel using foam tape for dimension. For the sentiment, I stamped the "congratulations" sentiment from the Congratulations stamp set in silver ink on a navy cardstock strip. After heat embossing the text with silver embossing powder, I matted the panel on light blue cardstock, then used foam tape to adhere it over the center of the navy panel. To finish the sentiment, I stamped the small "way to go" sentiment from the Word Up set in silver on a tiny piece of navy cardstock, then heat embossed that text, too. I matted the tiny sentiment on light blue cardstock and tucked it underneath the bottom right edge of the larger sentiment strip. The finished panel was adhered to a light blue card base that will be easy to write a message for the recipient on.
Materials Used:
Congratulations and Word Up stamp sets, Congratulations and Seeing Stars dies (Reverse Confetti); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Night of Navy and Bashful Blue cardstock, Sterling Silver embossing powder (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
