Papillon Thoughts

Here's my card for the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I represented the layout's leafy element with a pretty butterfly from The Stamp Market.

You're in my Thoughts card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from The Stamp Market
My butterfly from the Papillon stamp set is multi-dimensional, courtesy of a vellum layer I attached to just the center of the butterfly's body with some double-sided tape, allowing me to bend the vellum "wings" up. The stamped layer beneath has pale pink wings with a more vivid orange accent.  The vellum mutes the colors somewhat, but I promise they are there.  To go with the butterfly, I cut four different fishtail flag strips from orange and pink cardstock scraps.  I arranged the strips along the lower left side of a pale pink cardstock panel.  The "you're in my thoughts" sentiment from the Hello Hello stamp set was stamped in white pigment ink on the bottom fishtail flag strip, then heat embossed so it would stand out. The butterfly was added across the top three strips.  The finished panel was adhered to a berry card base to match one of the fishtail flag strips.

Materials Used:
Papillon and Hello Hello stamp sets, Papillon dies (The Stamp Market); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Pink Lemonade ink, Insulation Pink cardstock  (My Favorite Things); Butterscotch ink (Vivid); Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet, and Pink Peony cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Snow embossing powder, white vellum (Recollections); foam tape
