Have a Beautiful Day

Have a Beautiful Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I represented the abstract shape in the background with a mix of die cut elements from Concord & 9th's Brighter Days and Rainbow Wishes die sets. The clouds were cut from shimmery white cardstock and placed on the light blue card base.  I used cardstock scraps to cut the bands of the rainbow and the sun rays, then arranged them among the clouds. For the sentiment, I stamped the "have a beautiful day" sentiment from C & 9th's Brighter Days stamp set in black ink on a narrow turquoise cardstock strip.  The strip was adhered over the clouds using foam tape for dimension.  A trio of silver sequin "raindrops" scattered beneath the clouds completed the design.

Materials Used:
Brighter Days stamp set, Brighter Days and Rainbow Wishes dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Spring Rain and Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Tempting Turquoise cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); silver sequins; foam tape
