Watercolor Make a Wish

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I paired the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo, including the jewel-toned watercolors and the flourish element to create this birthday card.  The card also serves as my entry for this month's Reverse Confetti birthday themed Stock Your Stash challenge.

I used four different bold colored distress inks pressed on to a large clear block and misted with water to create the watercolor panel.   Once the panel was dry, I added a strip of shimmery white cardstock edged with a narrow strip of silver paper to the panel's left side.  I don't have many flourish stamps--if any!--in my collection, so I went with a pretty clear crystal flourish for the flourish element on my card.  After positioning the flourish on the left side of the panel, I stamped the birthday themed sentiment from RC's Sentimental Sayings stamp set at the bottom of the panel in teal ink.  The finished panel was adhered to a teal card base to match the sentiment.

Materials Used:
Sentimental Sayings stamp set (Reverse Confetti); Tropical Teal ink (My Favorite Things); Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Dusty Concord, and Faded Jeans distress inks (Ranger); Ocean cardstock, clear crystal flourish (Recollections); Crystal Stardream cardstock (The Paper Cut); silver paper (Target)
