Color Throwdown 598-You're My Kind of People

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with a pretty mix of colors-pink, aqua, gold, and white.

I paired the colors with the current Fab Friday challenge and a graphic Turnabout stamp set from Concord & 9th.  I used my regular sized MISTI to stamp the triangles twice, first in pink pigment ink, then in aqua pigment ink after rotating the stamped panel 90 degrees. It's been a while since I used one of the turnabout stamps and I'd forgotten how fun they are to use!  I trimmed down the stamped panel a little and backed it with an offset gold paper mat before adhering it to a pink card base.  After looping a length of gold thread and placing it at the center of the panel, I added the sentiment strip on top, using foam tape for dimension.  The "you're my kind of people"  sentiment was created using two different text stamps from the Kindhearted stamp set.  I stamped the text in gold ink on an aqua strip and heat embossed in gold to add one more sparkly element to the design.
