Have a Relaxing Day

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I paired the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo (beach theme, color scheme) to come up with this summery scene.

Have a Relaxing Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
My focal image is from Lawn Fawn's On the Beach stamp set.  I colored up the bear--even giving him a little sunburn on his belly--and beach blanket with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored images.  To go beneath the bear, I tore the top edge of a piece of kraft cardstock, then inked the panel with Vintage Photo distress ink and brushed on some white pigment ink to give it a sandy look.  After attaching a strip of torn white vellum and an aqua curved strip with a stitched detail to the top of the kraft panel to serve as water, I positioned the panel at the bottom of a light aqua cardstock panel.  To fill in the scene, I added a die cut sun and a pair of clouds created with the Spring Showers die set to the top left corner of the panel.  The set's "have a relaxing day" sentiment was stamped just beneath the bear image in black ink.  A narrow pink cardstock strip, mirroring the stripes in the beach blanket, was adhered just beneath the sandy strip.  The panel was adhered to an aqua card base to finish the design.

Materials Used:
On the Beach stamp set, Spring Showers dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Vintage Photo distress ink (Ranger); Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores, and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); white vellum (Recollections); foam tape
