Hello Friend

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I combined the layout with elements from the inspiration photo (butterfly image and color scheme) for this simple design.

Hello Friend card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
My butterflies were created with the Stitched Butterflies dies from Lil' Inker Designs.  I cut the three different sized butterflies out two times, once from blue cardstock and once from white vellum.  The pieces were layered with the vellum on top.  I adhered the vellum just at the center so the wings could be gently folded up for a fluttery look. Each butterfly has a clear crystal "body" at the center for a little sparkle. I used foam tape to arrange the trio on a white cardstock panel with a wide band of blue cardstock near the bottom.  I combined two sentimetns from LID's Sending You stamp set to get the "hello friend" sentiment.  The words were stamped in white pigment ink on a black stitched sentiment flag die cut, then heat embossed in white to pop against the black background. The sentiment strip was adhered to the blue panel beneath the butterflies.  I placed the finished panel on a matching bloue card base to complete the design.

Materials Used:
Sending You stamp set, Stitched Butterflies and Stitched Sentiment Flag dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Ocean cardstock, white vellum, Snow embossing powder, clear adhesive crystal strips (Recollections); foam tape
