Thanks for Being My Lifesaver
Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch
Challenge. I inked up the new Sunny Days Ahead stamp set for my summer
themed thank you card.
I colored the image with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored image. I made a background for the image from a die cut light blue oval with some kraft "sand" along the bottom. The image was placed on the background using foam tape for dimension. The light blue oval was the largest oval die I had, so I used my Scan 'n Cut again, this time to make a slightly larger oval mat from teal cardstock. After matting the image panel on the teal oval, I adhered it to an orange card base with a wide strip of wave patterned paper across the center. To bring in more of the teal, I edged the patterned panel with narrow strips of teal cardstock and stamped the "thanks for being my lifesaver" sentiment on a teal fishtail flag strip that was positioned over the bottom of the image panel with more foam tape.
Materials Used:
Sunny Days Ahead stamp set, Orange Zest cardstock (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Ocean cardstock (Recollections); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Splash 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); oval dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
