Suns{hi}ne
The theme for the current Paper Smooches challenge is rainbows. I paired the rainbow image from the PS Spectrum stamp set with a loosely inspired take on the sketch from the current Paper Craft Crew challenge for this cheerful design.
The rainbow image was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching Spectrum Icons die. I stamped it a second time, this time just cutting out the cloud portion of the image by hand. The clouds were adhered to the colored image with foam tape, then given a light coating of glitter courtesy of a glitter brush pen. To create the backdrop for the rainbow, I used shimmery silver ink and a star stencil to scatter some stars on a light blue cardfront. I stamped the set's sun image in orange ink on light orange cardstock and cut it out with the matching die, then added it to the cardfront and placed the rainbow on top with foam tape for dimension. The set's "suns{hi}ne" sentiment was stamped on a fishtail flag strip. I threaded the strip beneath the raised rainbow image to finish the design.
Materials Used:
Spectrum stamp set, Spectrum Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Delicata Silvery Shimmer, Memento Tuxedo Black and Tangelo inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic);Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Ocean cardstock (Recollections); Essential Fishtail Flag Sentiment Strips dies (My Favorite Things); Stars stencil (Memory Box); foam tape
