'Tis the Season

'Tis the Season card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I used the layout for a holiday themed design (and if you like that, be sure to come back tomorrow for July's installment of Keeping Christmas!). This one's pretty vibrant, courtesy of stamps, dies, and patterned paper from Reverse Confetti.

I represented the layout's round element with one of RC's Swirlies dies.  I cut the piece several times from green cardstock and layered the die cut pieces for dimension before adhering the stacked piece to a bold patterned paper panel.  The piece was topped with a red banner strip stamped with the "tis the season" sentiment from the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set.  I tilted the patterned panel on an angle before adhering it to a green cardfront over a red cardstock panel tilted in the opposite direction.  A bunch of red sequin "berries" arranged around the round piece to give it a wreath-like look and feel finished the festive design.

Materials Used:
Seasonal Sentiments stamp set, Salsa cardstock, Winter Solstice 6x6 paper pad, Swirlies and Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Garden Green cardstock (Stampin' Up!); red sequins; foam tape
