Best Teacher Ever

Best Teacher Ever card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs

Here's my card for the current Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs. I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo (school theme and color scheme) to put together this teacher themed design.

My focal images are from the Class Act stamp set.  The images were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies.  I used foam tape to adhere the pieces to a kraft circle.  The circle was adhered to a red card base with red dotted patterned paper and a solid gray panel adhered to it.  For the sentiment, I cut "teacher" from kraft cardstock using the Teacher die and adhered the word to a navy blue cardstock panel. The "best" and "ever" from the Sweet Sentiments-Teacher stamp set were stamped above and below the kraft die cut and heat embossed in white to pop against the navy background.  The sentiment strip was adhered to the cardfront, tucked just below the raised books and apple images. I have lots of teacher friends who are working very hard to get the school year started under the current crazy circumstances, so it's going to be hard to figure out who this card goes to!
