Some Days

Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used MFT's You Make My Tail Wag stamps and dies for this simple design.

After die cutting the shapes from white cardstock, I stamped the matching dog and hydrant images on the shapes and colored the images with Copic markers.  I used foam tape to adhere the images to a pale green cardstock panel.  I adhered an aqua dotted patterned panel to the top of the green panel, then adhered the pieces to a darker green card base. To fill in the scene, I added a yellow circle "sun" and a die cut metallic white cardstock cloud cut with one of MFT's Cute Cloud Outline dies to the top of the panel.  The set's "some days you're the dog, some days you're the hydrant" sentiment was stamped on an aqua fishtail flag strip.  After adhering the stamped strip to a green strip slightly longer than the width of the image panel on the cardfront, I used foam tape to position the sentiment panel on the card, hiding the seam between the two papers.
